WI-LFRE takes applicant privacy seriously. We never collect or store sensitive identifying information such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license images, or dates of birth on our website or servers.
How Applications Work
When you begin an application, we collect only basic contact and property-related information through our site. Once you proceed to screening:
- Applicants are redirected to our third-party screening provider (such as TransUnion SmartMove or DoorLoop’s secure portal).
- All sensitive information — including SSNs, driver’s license numbers, and identity verification details — is entered directly into the provider’s encrypted system.
- WI-LFRE does not receive, handle, or store this sensitive data.
- Screening providers indicate that SSNs and similar identifiers are not shared with WI-LFRE. We receive only the resulting reports (credit/background/eviction) needed to evaluate tenancy.

Applications submitted through WI-LFRE are completed via our secure DoorLoop application portal.By using this system, you ensure your private information is processed safely and in compliance with industry-standard security protocols.
